PUBLIC NOTICE ISSUED BY DGCA ON DATED 1ST JANUARY 2013
SUBJECT : AME LICENSE EXAMINATION - FEBRUARY 2013 SESSION
In accordance with DGCA Public Notice AV.11012/1/2012-A dated 31-12-2012 , the compliance date of sub rule 14 of rule 61 of Aircraft Rule 1937 has been extended up to 31-12-2013 . In view of extension of compliance date , it has been decided to conduct AME license examination -February , 2013 session in accordance with the Civil Aviation Requirements , Section 2 (Airworthiness ) , Series L , Part II , Revision 5 dated 9th November, 2012 .
In view of the above , the candidates who desirous to appear in AME License examination –February , 2013 session , are hereby intimated that they may forward their CA-9 ( Written) application forms duly filled and completed in all respect along with requisite fees to Central Examination Organisation (CEO) , o/o Director General of CIVIL Aviation , Government of India , East Block-III , Level-3 , R.K.Puram, New Delhi -110066 , latest by 21st January, 2013 by speed post / registered post only. The applications received after the above date shall not be accepted and no communication in this regard shall be entertained .

(14) (i) The holder of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence on the date of coming into force of this rule may continue to exercise the privileges of his licence and shall be issued, with or without limitation and without further examination, an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence in the appropriate category under this rule subject to such conditions as may be specified by the Director-General:
Provided that exercise of such privileges shall not be continued beyond the date specified by DGCA.
(ii) Any person who has started a qualification process for obtaining an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence under the rules and procedures existing prior to the date of notification of this rule, may continue the process till 31 December, 2012 and may be issued an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence in the appropriate category.
