                   Clarification of the Validity of Part-66 Modules Passes This Information Notice contains information that is for guidance and/or awareness. Recipients are asked to ensure that this Information Notice is copied to all members of their staff who may have an interest in the information (including any ‘in-house’ or contracted maintenance organisations and relevant outside contractors).
1 Introduction
1.1 This Information Notice clarifies the validity of Part-66 modules passed prior to 1 August 2012. 2 Scope 
2.1 The CAA has revised its policy following the implementation of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1149/2011 and its replacement - Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014. The amended Part-66.A.25 (b) requirements now allows up to 10 years to pass all the required training courses and examinations needed to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Licence. 
2.2 Consequently, Part-66 basic module examinations passed before 1 August 2012 may now be used to support a licence application until 31 July 2022.
