Key Responsibilities:
Safety Management System (SMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's SMS.
- Ensure the SMS complies with regulatory requirements (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA, DGCA).
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of the SMS to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
Safety Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure that safety procedures are integrated into all aspects of maintenance operations.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential safety hazards and conduct risk assessments.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and safety measures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and make adjustments as necessary.
Safety Audits and Inspections:
- Plan and conduct regular safety audits and inspections of maintenance activities and facilities.
- Identify non-compliance and safety hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Incident and Accident Investigation:
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents.
- Determine root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
Safety Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all staff.
- Promote a safety culture within the organization through awareness programs and initiatives.
- Ensure that all personnel are aware of their safety responsibilities and the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
Safety Communication:
- Facilitate communication and reporting of safety issues within the organization.
- Act as a point of contact for safety-related matters and coordinate with regulatory authorities.

Safety Performance Monitoring:

- Develop and track safety performance indicators.

Emergency Response Planning:

Regulatory Compliance:

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, safety management, or a related area.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA, DGCA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage safety programs and initiatives.
- Certification in safety management or a related field (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, IOSH, NEBOSH) is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Office and field environment, with regular visits to maintenance facilities.
- May require travel to various locations for safety audits, inspections, and training.
