Certification Privileges


        Category A of AMEL permits the holder  to issue CRS following minor scheduled     line maintenance and simple defect rectification within the limits of tasks specifically endorsed on the authorization issued by aircraft endorsed on the licence. 
        The certification privileges shall be restricted to an organization approved under rule 133B for the type of work that the licence holder has personally performed in a maintenance organization approved by the DGCA. 

       Category B1 of AMEL shall permit the holder to issue CRS  following maintenance including aircraft structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems in respect of an aircraft type endorsed on license. 
              Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability shall also be included in the privileges. 
         Category B1 shall automatically include the appropriate A subcategory.

        Category B2 of AMEL shall permit the holder to issue CRS following maintenance on avionic and electrical systems of an aircraft type endorsed on the licence 

        Category C of AMEL shall permit the holder to issue CRS following base maintenance on aircraft type endorsed on the licence.
            The privileges apply to the aircraft in its entirety in CAR 145 organization.
